Members of each board should be willing to invest time in training - through attending workshops (at the Town's expense) and by reading the appropriate bylaws and regulations. Members must be willing to abide by the Rules of Procedure and Ethics Policies of the board.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission meets regularly on the 2nd Monday of each month. The Planning Commission acts as a "quasi-judicial" board when reviewing subdivisions and site plans. The PC is the keeper of the Town Plan and the Zoning Bylaws and is responsible for the maintenance of each document. The PC is also a party to all Act 250 permits.

Zoning Board
The Zoning Board meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month (if they have business to conduct).The Zoning Board acts as a "quasi-judicial" board; issues conditional use permits and variances and decides on appeals from decisions made by the Zoning Administrator.

Invitation for Bids

            The Town of Weathersfield is accepting bids for paving 0.6 miles of Town Highway 6 [Stoughton Pond Road], beginning at Vermont Route 106 and proceeding east.  Work will be scheduled to start upon arrangements with the Town’s Road Highway Superintendent, and must be completed by October 15th, 2007.

            Firms wishing copies of the Town’s paving specifications, along with the required bid submission forms, should contact the Town Manager’s Office.  This project is open for bidding  for only those firms currently listed on the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s pre-qualified bidders list.

            Persons or firms wishing additional information, or to conduct a site inspection of the project area, should contact the Town’s Highway Superintendent at the Weathersfield Highway Garage, telephone number [802] 263-5272.

            Sealed proposals, clearly marked “Stoughton Pond Road Paving Bids” on the outside, must be received at the following address no later then 12:00, noon, August 9th, 2007, at the following address:

            Bids by facsimile transmission will not be accepted.

            The Town of Weathersfield reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
